Speculation has grown linking the Italian with a return to Serie A after a frustrating five months in the Premier League.Despite an impressive goalscoring record in Italy, Bianchi has struggled to adapt to the English game and has been a regular on the City bench this season.Torino had hoped to sign Bianchi, who moved to City from Reggina for £8.8 million during the summer and has already spoken of his desire to return to Italy.
However, Lazio appeared to have beaten them to it. "There are still all the practicalities left to sort out, such as the medical and signing the contract," said Lazio spokesman Giacomo Mazzocch. "But the deal should be completed today or tomorrow."
Ironically, if Bianchi's transfer goes through this week, he could make his debut this weekend in Turin when Lazio travel to Torino.
