Top Singapore striker barred from playing in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 26 (Reuters) - Singapore striker Noh Alam Shah has been denied the chance to play for Malaysian Super League team Police this season because of his one-year ban, local media reported on Saturday.
The Football Association of Malaysia said the one-year ban issued by world soccer's governing body FIFA is binding on all national bodies.
Noh Alam was banned from Singapore competitions for a violent on-pitch attack on Tampines Rovers team mate Daniel Bennet during a cup final in November.
The 28-year-old, who was part of the Singapore team that won the last two Asean Football Federation Championships, finished top scorer and was also named Most Valuable Player in the 2007 competition. -

He is a celebrity footballer here. You recognised him means he is somebody. Being a star, he can't stoop that low to be a despatch rider or MacDonald delivery boy. But, he should be able to play in Indonesia.
Don't forget, he is not banned from playing for his country. He still can afford to smile and be arrogant. His country needs him so badly that they didn't ban him from international competitions. Our football panel thinks that he the only Alan Shearer and we should close one eye for his frequent mis-guided violent acts. Our panel feels Singaporeans should accept their decisions quietly.
