Tottenham target Puyol

Tottenham want to sign Barcelona defender Carlos Puyol.
Juande Ramos is thought to be keen to strengthen his defence as he continues to reshape his White Hart Lane squad.
It is claimed that Tottenham representatives are in Spain to discuss a move with the Barcelona captain.
Ramos has also been linked with an approach for Middlesbrough defender Jonathan Woodgate as he attempts to find an experienced centre-back to bring to North London.
Puyol has made 58 appearances for Spain and played in the 2002 and 2006 World Cup finals. -
Seriously I feel that the chance of him leaving Barca for Tottenham is close to zero.

Its hard to say sometimes... Puyol will be 30 in 2 months time and who knows, Barce may not mind letting him go. If you were to think, no one expected Gaizka Mendieta to go to Middlesbrough a few yrs back... Middlesbrough! not even a top 6 team in epl. And he was only 29 when he joint them... What was the chance of that happening? Middlesbrough, Tottenham, which is a bigger club?
Then Ivan Campo, at 28 Real sold him to Bolton!
So, don't discount anything like that happening... Puyol isn't exactly indispensable...
