Newcastle United coach Nigel Pearson has left the club after just over a year with the Magpies.
Pearson, 44, took over as caretaker manager at St James' Park for the second time following Sam Allardyce's departure last month.
But the arrival of Kevin Keegan and executive director Dennis Wise looks to have ended his spell with the Magpies.
The former Stoke and West Brom coach became Glenn Roeder's assistant at St James' Park in October 2006.
He had his first caretaker spell in charge of the club when Roeder resigned last May.
Pearson, a former Middlesbrough defender, was then in charge of the side for a second spell during the 6-0 defeat to Manchester United and last month's FA Cup third-round replay win over Stoke.
The victory over Championship side Stoke was overshadowed by the announcement of Kevin Keegan as manager, whose arrival has been followed by Wise, Tony Jimenez and Jeff Vetere to the club.
Jimenez is vice-president of player recruitment, while Vetere is working as technical co-ordinator.
