Chelsea's Portugal international defender Paulo Ferreira has signed a new five-year deal at Stamford Bridge.
The 29-year-old right-back has played 130 games for the Blues since joining them from Porto for £13.25m in 2004.
Ferreira told his club's website: "I am delighted to commit my long-term future to Chelsea.
"The fans have made me very welcome and I enjoy my football here a lot. We have had a lot of success and I am hoping we have more over the coming years."
Ferreira, who won the 2004 Champions League with Porto, has also filled in at left-back and centre-back during his time with Chelsea.
He has faced stiff opposition for the right-back slot from summer recruit Juliano Belletti this season, and has played only 18 games.
