Real Madrid players and officials have expressed their frustration after losing 1-0 to Getafe in bizarre circumstances.
Arjen Robben thought he had scored for Real midway through the second half and a number of his team-mates came to celebrate with him near the corner of the pitch.
However, the referee's assistant had already raised his flag for offside and Getafe took advantage with a quick free-kick and counter-attack that led to Ikechukwu Uche's winning goal.
Midfielder Guti fumed: "They have scored a goal against us like in a match for four-year-olds. We can't afford to lose games in this way."
Real sporting director Predrag Mijatovic felt Getafe's goal should not have been allowed to stand.
"The referee could have stopped the move because we had a lot of players celebrating. Perhaps, in these circumstances, he should have stopped play," he told Canal Plus television.
Getafe president Angel Torres disagreed, saying: "Football is for the smart ones. To say Real lost because of the referee is laughable because the whole of Spain saw what happened on the television."
Barcelona have closed the gap at the top from nine points to two since the end of January but Real coach Bernd Schuster has urged his side to move on from the latest disappointment.
Schuster said: "Of course the league is wide open. Barcelona hold their destiny in their own hands now but so do we. We will keep on fighting.
"Things are happening to us in games that we don't deserve but we need to look forward. We need to prove we are a team in the good times and now."
