Zola
GIANFRANCO ZOLA has revealed he would love to manage Chelsea.
Zola, 41, is currently working as Pierluigi Casiraghi's assistant with Italy's Under-21 side.
And the Blues legend admits he has already rejected approaches from Roman Abramovich because he fears his lack of coaching experience will let the club down.
The Italian said: "One day I would like to be good enough to manage Chelsea — they are in my heart.
"Roman Abramovich has been good to me and asked me twice to go back and work.
"But I said no because what is the point if I'm not going to do something good?
"I want to go there when I know I can give something back.
"Roman and I didn't discuss specific jobs — he just wanted me there.
"I have only been working with the Italian Under-21 team as assistant manager for a year, so I can't say I am good enough to be manager of one of the best teams in Europe just yet."
Current Chelsea boss Avram Grant is under growing pressure to win the Premier League or Champions League after his side lost the Carling Cup final to Tottenham and crashed out of the FA Cup at Barnsley.
But Zola, who left the Blues for a two-year spell with Cagliari in 2003, insists Abramovich will give the Israeli time to deliver success.
He added: "Roman is a calm person but if I was him and had spent so much money, I would want to win or at least get close.
"Every time I speak to him, it is obvious he wants to be entertained.
"He likes good football but there has to be a balance.
"You have to win and play the game properly."
