Robbie Keane faces a £120,000 fine from Spurs boss Juande Ramos for throwing a tantrum at Manchester City.
The Irish striker is looking at the maximum rap of two weeks’ wages after chucking his tracksuit top to the ground when he was subbed.
Keane was hauled off for the fifth time in six games by Ramos and reacted angrily as he reached the dugout.
When Keane’s number was held up he looked astonished and the stand-in skipper tore off his armband.
Three years ago, Tottenham fined him a week’s wages for showing dissent on the bench when he did not play at Birmingham.
Ramos has already shown he will not tolerate any player questioning his authority or tactics.
He cracked down on Pascal Chimbonda when he threw a strop at being subbed in the Carling Cup final.
Having set the benchmark by fining Chimbonda two weeks’ wages, Ramos will find it impossible to ignore Keane’s behaviour.
Hope he score tonight...
