Joy of six for PFA gong nominees

  Cristiano Ronaldo heads a list of six nominees for this year's Professional Footballers Association's (PFA) Player of the Year award.

  The Manchester United forward, who has scored 37 goals this season, is the favourite to retain the award after another outstanding season at Old Trafford. Ronaldo has also been young player of the year award.

  The Portugual international is joined by Liverpool pair Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres as well as Cesc Fabregas and Emmanuel Adebayor of Arsenal. David James, the Portsmouth goalkeeper, completes the list.

  Torres and Fabregas are also in contention for the young player of the year award alongside Gabriel Agbonlahor and Ashley Young, the Aston Villa forwards, and Manchester City's Micah Richards.

  but this year i doubt stevie ghee deserves his place in there.

  I think Flamini should be there instead of Gerrard.

  His performance this year beside Fabregas has been good.

  Edit: oops bad source. Ronaldo nominated for  Young player award as well.

  and also, i find it weird that Torres gets nominated for the young players award even though he's 24...whereas Ronaldo, who's 23, isnt inside.

  
  Ronaldo is on the Young Player of the Year nominee list too... Yeah, by right Fernando Torres shouldn't be on the YPY cos he has past 23 when the 2007/08 season started... Weird, maybe they give him face and accept those 23 and under 24 after the 07/08 season started...
