England coach Fabio Capello is ready to meet with Paul Scholes and Jamie Carragher in a bid to tempt them both out of international retirement.
Scholes, 33, quit England after Euro 2004 - whilst Carragher, 30, gave up international duty in 2007.
Both players are continuing to perform at the top of their game for their clubs, Manchester United and Liverpool, and the Italian is keen to have them both available to him.
"There are players that don't want to be part of England like Paul Scholes and Jamie Carragher. They are very good players and the door is always open," Capello told The People.
"But you can't force anyone to play for you.
"The most important thing is for the players to love the shirt and want to play for the shirt. It is down to them."
pretty hard le..
if both really return to national team,
n if they under-perform for jus one match,

Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has played down England coach Fabio Capello's chances of coaxing him out of international retirement.
Capello hinted earlier this month that he was keen to have Carragher and Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes back in the international fold.
Carragher, who quit international football in 2007, feels his decision has been vindicated because he topped a list of players who played the most in all competitions this season.
The 30-year-old believes the extra rest he gets during international weeks has helped him play so much football for Liverpool this season with his team-mate Steven Gerrard playing just a little more than him, including England games.
"I said when I stepped away from playing for England that it would help my fitness to keep myself right for Liverpool, and this proves I made the right decision," Carragher told the Sunday Mirror.
"I feel I've benefited from regular rests during international weeks and it has helped with little knocks and niggles clearing up.
"My only disappointment was that Stevie and I didn't have another 90 minutes to add to the total by playing in the Champions League Final as well!"
carragher so selfish...only want to play for himself and not the country.
haha dont say like that lah.. lols..
