The Birmingham native burst onto the scene during the 2006-07 season with 10 goals in 42 appearances for the Villans.
Many
thought the 21-year-old would struggle to back that up this term, but

The
England under-21 international believes he has well and truly humbled
his critics, and hopes to continue his progress over the coming seasons.
"I definitely think I've proved the doubters wrong who thought I was going to be a one-season wonder," said Agbonlahor.
"I
feel I've had a good season. After making an impression last season I
was keen to make sure people realised I could have another good one and
I do think I have pushed on more.
"I think people now will
finally believe that I can produce my form over more than just one
season and hopefully I have shut my critics up now."
