Hasselbaink set for Cardiff stay

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink believes Cardiff can grow stronger as a result of their FA Cup run, despite their 1-0 loss to Portsmouth in the final.
The Dutch striker, 36, also revealed he wants to be part of that process and intends to sign on for another season.
"This club is going to go massive and it's on its way up, it's a good club and I'm going to play another year, yes," Hasselbaink told BBC Sport.
"It was a massive day and was unlucky we couldn't bring the Cup back."
Hasselbaink arrived at Ninian Park last August on an initial one-year deal, but now is set to take up the option of a further season.
The former Charlton, Middlesbrough, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Leeds and Boavista star scored nine goals in all competitions for Cardiff this season, including one of the goals of this season's FA Cup in the win over Wolves at Ninian Park.
Saturday's final turned on an error from Cardiff goalkeeper Peter Enckelman, who was unable to hold a dipping John Utaka cross and allowed Kanu to poke the loose ball home in the 37th-minute.
But despite the disappointment of losing their second ever FA Cup final, the first was a 1-0 win over Arsenal in 1927, Hasselbaink praised the attitude of the Bluebirds fans at Wembley.
"Normally if you look at the big clubs, when they lose the fans are gone. Our fans are staying and clapping the Portsmouth team, those are real fans," Hasselbaink added.
"They showed a lot of character and this club is going forward. The club is magnificent... Cardiff is a club that is growing."

i agree but in a match of such importance the final and the opportunity to win a trophy and cant score?

yes soccer is not an individual game but in a game of such importance when everybody is putting in their best effort n looking to their leader for inspiration to set the example, where was he? what is the point of being so called on form trashing the shit out of weak teams like derby but cant produce the goods on the biggest stage and blame it on poor form? -
