LIVERPOOL have slapped a huge £16million price tag on Juventus target Xabi Alonso. The Italians had director general Jean-Claude Blanc in Merseyside yesterday to try and broker a deal for the 26-year-old Spanish midfielder.
But the Anfield club will not do business unless Juve meet their asking price. And if they fail to tempt Aston Villa into selling Gareth Barry, they will knock the deal on the head entirely.
