FREDDIE LJUNGBERG has revealed the bitterness behind his move from Arsenal and the bust-up with boss Arsene Wenger. The Sweden midfielder, 31, joined West Ham for £3million last summer — and pocketed an £80,000-a-week pay deal at Upton Park.
But injury-prone Ljungberg claims he turned down offers from Italy just so he could stay in the Premier League and face the Gunners. He said: “It’s all about my injuries. Wenger doesn’t like those who show weakness.
“With him, you feel as if you’re in the army. “I was offended when I learnt from the papers Wenger was ready to consider offers for me. No one told me. So I went to West Ham in order to play against Arsenal as often as possible.”
