Real Madrid are apparently following the progress of Lille OSC right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner.
With just one year left on his contract, the Swiss ace could leave Lille for a comparatively low fee in summer.
Real Madrid's technical staff are thought to be eager to seek cover for Sergio Ramos at right-back, and the 24-year-old fits the bill in that regard.
For now, though, he has other things on his mind.
He told L'Equipe, "I am very proud and honoured that a club like Real is interested in me.
"But my priority is Euro 2008. I'll let my brother [Marco, his agent] deal with things like that."
The former Grasshopper-Club stopper is said to be unwilling to extend his deal any further with les Dogues. -
