FC Barcelona continued its offseason makeover by reportedly signing right-back Daniel Alves from Sevilla on Friday.
Spanish media reports put the price of the Brazil defender's transfer between €29 and €32 million (US$46-51 million) with up to €6 million (US$9.5 million) more to come in incentives. The 25-year-old was ready to sign a five-year deal.
Sevilla reportedly acquired 30 percent of the rights to Mallorca left-back Fernando Navarro, who is at Euro 2008 with Spain.
It is Barcelona's fourth defensive signing and second this week since it finished third in the Spanish league 18 points behind champion Real Madrid. It paid Villarreal €16.5 million (US$25.5 million) on Wednesday for Uruguay Under-21 defender Martin Caceres.
The Catalans had already acquired defender Gerard Pique from Manchester United and Mali midfielder Seydou Keita of Sevilla.

ves is all but certain to sign for Barcelona from Sevilla in a
big-money move - one that he's been angling for for quite some time.
The
Brazilian spoke to the media as his €32m move reaches completion,
declaring himself "very happy and satisfied" to be "part of a club with
the grandeur of Barcelona."
The Brazilian said that, although he
hasn't yet spoken with his new coach, Pep Guardiola, that he is "very
happy to have reached an agreement."
"It's a very big source of motivation because it means that people are noticing your work," he continued.
"I
am an ambitious player and I hope that signing for this important club
can allow me to win great things. Hopefully we can win some titles."

Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido claims Daniel Alves will become the world’s most expensive defender when he at last puts pen to paper with Barcelona.
Alves is due to be officially presented as a Barca player once he completes a medical at Camp Nou on Tuesday.
"He has been transferred to Barcelona for the highest price ever paid for a defender," said Del Nido.
The record for a transfer fee paid for a defender currently stands at the £30 million Manchester United paid Leeds for Rio Ferdinand in 2002.
Alves said his goodbyes to Sevilla at a press conference in the Andalucian capital on Tuesday morning.
“I would like to thank the president for opening the doors of this club to me and giving me the opportunity to grow,” said Alves.
“I am grateful to Sevilla. What I have experienced here will be impossible to achieve anywhere else.”
Barcelona on Wednesday unveiled their fourth off-season signing, Sevilla's Brazil international defender Daniel Alves.
Alves, 25, who joined the Spanish giants in a deal worth 29 million euros with a further six million on offer depending on results, is an attacking right back who can also play in midfield.
