Jussi Jaaskelainen has agreed a new deal to stay at Bolton Wanderers.
The Finnish international is out of contract at The Reebok Stadium and a host of clubs had shown an interest.
Half-a-dozen Premier League clubs are understood to have made contact, whilst continental giants such as Bayern Munich and Galatasaray also expressed a desire to sign him.
However, Bolton have now persuaded Jaaskelainen to extend his stay with The Trotters, which dates back to 1997.
Jaaskelainen's agent Peter Harrison has confirmed that a deal is in place to keep the 33-year-old at Bolton.
"We have agreed terms," he told the website.
"The deal is for four years but it is not signed yet as Jussi is away on holiday.
"He is very happy to be staying as he loves the fans and the club."
