Juande Ramos has turned to PSV Eindhoven's £9m-rated Heurelho Gomes to solve his goalkeeping crisis. Tottenham boss Ramos has made 6ft 4in Brazilian Gomes, 27, his No.1 target after getting failing to land Espanyol's Carlos Kameni.
Gomes - nicknamed the Octopus because of his huge arms - dumped Spurs out of the UEFA Cup last season when he was the hero of PSV's penalty shootout win. But reports in the Mirror suggest Gomes wants to leave PSV and fancies a move to Spurs, especially as he is unhappy about the appointment of PSV's new goalkeeping coach Hans Segers, who was at Tottenham.
