Arsenal are considering resurrecting their interest in Real Madrid youngster Daniel Parejo, according to reports in the Spanish capital.
The 19-year-old midfielder caught Arsene Wenger's eye in the European Under-19 Championship last year and spoke some time ago about the alleged attention from North London.
Sources claim Wenger is willing to pay the €15 million (£11.8 million) clause that could trigger a move to England but the teenager will need some convincing to abandon his dream of wearing the white shirt at the Bernabeu.
When quizzed about the prospect of a transfer to The Gunners in the Spanish press, he was determined to stress he is prepared to wait for an opportunity at Real.
"For me, it is a compliment that such an important European team is showing interest," he said recently.
"I have heard rumours but my intention is very clear - my dream is to succeed in Madrid.
"Nobody dislikes something like that [being compared to Cesc Fabregas] but I prefer to look in the mirror and see Raul, Guti and Iker Casillas, three footballers who have come out of this youth system and have gone on to triumph in Madrid.
"I am young and I have patience."
