Adebayor : to get his new improve deal of £80,000-a-week.
Arsenal are confident AC Milan will shelve their interest in Emmanuel Adebayor when player and club sit down to discuss his future. Adebayor will open contract talks this week where he is expected to be offered a new-improved £80,000-a-week deal to stay in London. That would eclipse the £35,000-a-week deal the Togo international signed last year.
Milan director Adriano Galliani was planning to fly to London this week to talk to Arsenal officials to strike a deal with the club. That plan could be put on hold following the 24-year-old Adebayor's claim that he is happy to stay in England.
"My future with Arsenal has never been in doubt and I want to assure fans I will be here for many years," Adebayor said in The Sun. "My agent has met with coach Arsene Wenger about a new deal and I am happy about how the talks are going so the fans can rest assured."
Adebayor's agent Stephane Courbis, meanwhile, has indicated that the player would still be interested in a move to Italy but that it is down to the clubs to reach an agreement which suits both parties.
Courbis said on Italian radio: "Adebayor is happy at Arsenal, but when a footballer receives an offer from a team such as Milan it is difficult to say no.

ok lah... People all say Torres is this is that but at the end, he scored the same amount of goals with Adebayor so... What do we make of that?
He is definitely worth more than the $35k per week...
he had just one good season.
they should give him an improve deal only after another season.
The Rossoneri have been after
the Togolese striker for quite sometime and both Adriano Galliani and Carlo
Ancelotti revealed that they would like to see the player at San Siro next
season as they continue to strengthen their squad.
The player’s agent also stated that his client would not turn down a
move to Milan.
However, Berlusconi admits
that the striker is a bit too pricey.
“Adebayor? I am not really
sure about him, he costs too much,” said the chief.
i only give him 60k per week is i were wenger

It was a Smart Arse-nal decision to do that when so many crocodiles are looking to sign him up give him more money and he would probably play better next season but I am not an Arsenal fan so what I care!

how fake can one goes.. he may be worth that amount per week but who is to confirm that he wouldn't be asking for the sky again at the end of next season?
I would only give him £50, 000 a week. I think we can easily find any forward who is better than him(neglect the number of goals scored). Anyway, I think he's overrated.
