Newcastle on brink of Spear signing

  Newcastle United are on the verge of signing Plymouth Argyle's 15 year-old striker Aaron Spear.

  Spear, 15, is the subject of interest from two Premier League clubs, with Arsenal believed to be rivals to Newcastle's bid.

  Plymouth chief Michael Dunford admitted: "We are waiting to hear from Newcastle whether they have decided to sign him.''

   

   

  Aaron Spear will join Davide Petrucci and Aaron Ramsey. All young promising strikers going to EPL clubs.

  Gunners want Plymouth starlet

  Media reports suggest that Arsenal are one of three clubs to have tabled an offer for Plymouth Argyle teen sensation Aaron Spear.

  The Gunners, who have already signed one of the hottest properties in British football in Cardiff's Aaron Ramsey this summer are now believed to be hot pursuit of Spear.

  The young whiz-kid was thought to be heading to Newcastle following meetings with their director of football Dennis Wise, but Arsenal and Portsmouth are firmly thought to be in the running for the young striker.
