Chelsea have offered Deco a three-year contract work £92,000 a week after tax, according to reports.
The Evening Standard claims that the Blues are prepared to offer massive wages to stop the Portuguese midfielder joining his old boss Jose Mourinho at Inter Milan.
Reports earlier on Monday morning suggested that the deal will be concluded this week, with Deco becoming Phil Scolari's first signing with a £12m switch.
That move is likely to be followed by the exit of Frank Lampard to Inter Milan.

To pay him about $132,000 a week I think its a bit over... Here Barce want to get rid of him already because he seem to be on the wane and here chelsea want to pay him more money...
Keeping lampard would be a better option in this case... Deco is short, small size and physically not that strong for the tougher epl midfielders and defenders... And Lampard, well at least he gets you about 15 goals a season...
