Walcott the heir to Henry

  Theo Walcott has been given the honour of wearing Thierry Henry's old number 14 for Arsenal in the upcoming 2008/2009 season.

  Walcott had worn the number thirty two shirt since being signed from Southampton two and a half years ago but now takes on the number made famous by The Gunners' record goalscorer and earlier Johann Cruyff.

  This may be seen as a sign that Walcott is confident to play a major part next season after enjoying a good second half to the 2007/08 campaign that saw him earn a call-up to the England squad.
