Ince Considering Cudicini

Chelsea backup keeper Carlo Cudicini has been touted as one of the first transfer targets for freshly instated Blackburn boss Paul Ince.
Ince, who took over at Ewood Park at the beginning of the week, is reportedly keen on giving veteran American keeper Brad Friedel some competition, and believes that Cudicini would fit the bill quite nicely.
There have been reports that the 34-year-old Italian has had enough with Stamford Bridge after serving as a more than competent understudy to Petr Cech for the better part of three years.
A sentimental return to his homeland after almost a decade in England could also be in the cards for the ex Milan keeper, however, as Juventus and Serie A returnees Bologna have been linked in recent weeks.
Of all the options, the latter presents the most clear and present possibility for the first team football that Cudicini covets, as Bologna would virtually be guaranteed the number one shirt at the Emiliani, who under new American ownership have designs of becoming a genuine force in Italy within the next couple of years. -
