Reports in Spain claim that Robinho's agent is in talks with Chelsea, suggesting that Real Madrid are confident of sealing a deal for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Marca claims that the Wagner Riberio, the Brazilian forward's representative, has flown to London for talks with Chelsea sporting director Frank Arneson over a move to England.
According to the paper, while Real need cash to finance a potential move for Cristiano Ronaldo, they will not accept less that 36 million Euros (around £28.7million) for Robinho.
It is more than likely that this move hinges entirely on whether or not Ronaldo does move to Madrid. Real have stated that they are not interested in making a large amount of signings, nor releasing many players, preferring to keep the nucleus of their title winning side together.
Therefore, if these reports are accurate it suggests that Real are confident of signing Ronaldo.
Indeed, Real president Ramon Calderon reportedly told Wimbledon champion Rafa Nadal that the deal was as good as done, despite his repeated public proclaimations that he did not wish to talk about the Portuguese winger.
