Xabi Alonso’s proposed move from Liverpool to Juventus could be off with an announcement expected later on Saturday that the Bianconeri have signed Christian Poulsen from Sevilla.
Juve have been in the market for a midfielder and have held talks with both players, but it is either one or the other and The Old Lady have plumped for Poulsen.
Reports in Spain claim Poulsen has signed a double-your-money four-year contract with Juve after the Serie A side agreed to pay Sevilla €10 million (£8 million).
The transfer will end a hugely successful association between Poulsen and Sevilla.
Since signing on a Bosman free transfer from Schalke two years ago, the Denmark international has gone on to win four trophies and establish himself as one of Europe's best holding midfielders.
good.
rafa must start to take responsibility of his signing and develop their talents.

News that Juventus officially signed Christian Poulsen, who Italians
remember best from an ugly incident involving Francesco Totti at Euro
2004, has enraged the tifosi in Turin. It seems the main bone
of contention is the handsome transfer fee that the zebras have shelled
out to Sevilla to acquire the 28-year-old - €10m.
But Juve
fans have also passed judgment on the midfielder’s technical abilities,
which they feel, do not meet their club’s standards. To show their
displeasure, supporters have put up a banner at the ground where
Juventus is currently preparing for the new season. The banner read:
“Ridiculous, you’ve signed another rubbish player: Poulsen.”
It
is no secret that Juventus fans have been eager on bringing in a more
creative midfielder, such as Xabi Alonso, who was thought to be on the
brink of a move less than two weeks ago. Currently, Juventus’ central
midfield pairing is formed by hard men Momo Sissoko and Cristiano
Zanetti.
While there is still some time for Juventus to move
in the transfer market, it appears the club can do no right in the eyes
of their fans.
