Chelsea midfielder Claude Makelele is reportedly due to undergo a medical at Ligue 1 side Paris St Germain on Saturday.
Makelele has been strongly linked with a move to the Parc des Princes in recent weeks, with PSG coach Paul Le Guen confirming his interest.
Le Guen claimed earlier this month that he had held talks with the former France international and the interest appears to have gathered pace.
The 35-year-old is understood to be travelling to France to have a medical ahead of a proposed return to Ligue 1 football.
The former Real Madrid anchor man has 12 months left on his current contract at Chelsea and has previously suggested he would be keen on an extension.
However, his five-year stint at Stamford Bridge, during which he has made almost 220 appearances, seems to be drawing to a close.

Paris Saint Germain have agreed a deal to sign Claude Makelele from Chelsea.
The 35-year-old has had an outstanding spell with The Blues, playing a key part in their resurgence under former boss Jose Mourinho, but has now agreed a deal to head back to France following 10 years on foreign shores.
“Claude Makelele, Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain have found an agreement that allows the midfielder to sign today [Monday] with the capital club,” read a statement on PSG’s official website.
Makelele is set to pen a two-year deal as a player before taking on a role as an advisor to the president.
The former France international, who called time on his international career in June, will be presented to the press at Parc des Princes on Monday afternoon.
Makelele is PSG’s fourth summer capture, following the signings of Le Havre goal-machine Guillaume Hoarau, Le Mans midfielder Stephane Sessegnon and the Roma winger Ludovic Giuly.
