Valencia have reportedly received a bid from Aston Villa for their imposing Serbian striker Nikola Zigic.
The 6ft 7in target-man has attracted interest from clubs across Europe as Valencia look set to part ways with the Serbia international.
Zigic has been informed that he does not feature in new coach Unai Emery’s plans after an inconspicuous spell at La Mestalla.
The former Racing Santander forward has been linked with a move to the Premier League over recent months and Villa have now reportedly put a firm offer on the table.
Valencia sporting director Juan Sanchez claims Villa have made an offer for Zigic and that the player will make a decision on his future in the next few days.
"The player and his agent know about the offer and we expect them to make a decision in the coming days," Sanchez is quoted as saying in the Sunday Mirror.
