Wright-Phillips is expected to get the boot from Stamford Bridge this
summer after sliding below Joe Cole, Florent Malouda and Salomon Kalou
in the pecking order last season.
The 26-year-old has failed to
deliver consistently since his ₤21million move from Manchester City in
2005, and many – including his step-father, ex-Arsenal striker Ian
Wright – believe the time is ripe for a change of scene.
Portsmouth
appears the most likely destination, especially given John Utaka's
largely disappointing form last term, while Aston Villa are also
reported to be interested.
But Scolari insisted there is no deal
on the table and that Wright-Phillips has shown no signs of being
discontent with life in west London.
"I have not asked him if he wants to go to another team," the Brazilian told the press.
"He is here and is playing for Chelsea, I don't know anything about him wanting to go to another team.
"He
is training very well every day, he is a very important player for us.
This is the first time I have not heard anything about Wright-Phillips
wanting to move.
"I will have to ask Shaun if he wants a change."
If he wants more first team, I think he should go...
