Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has revealed he will make a decision on his future within the next week - and he has hinted at a stay in London.

The Ivorian has become one of the most feared forwards in the world since moving to Stamford Bridge from Marseille in 2004 and AC Milan and Barcelona have set their sights on the 30-year-old.

Drogba has missed the Blues pre-season tour of Asia and Russia through injury to spark rumours he is set for the exit.

His representatives are now set to meet in London and Drogba expects an announcement will be made within seven days.

"This next week will be key in terms of my future," Drogba said in the Sunday Mirror.

"And I am currently injured. People who say I am not don't know me at all because I always want to play.

"As for my future at Chelsea, well I have a contract with the club that is clear.

"But my agents will have a meeting in London and then it will be known once and for all."

the thing is no concrete offers came in for him even thou he his agent had sound out most of the potential buyers.. well.. just that he might not have like the idea after falling out with ManU's players if not ManU seems to be a good place for him and IMHO, ManU might just be even better off with such a striker..

The thing that is blocking his way is the price Chelsea have put on him... $20m.

Its a lot for a what, 30 coming on to 31 yrs old player?

at the current rate 20m is worth every penny given that he is a proven scorer at such level

    Drogba happy at Chelsea

Didier Drogba has no plans to leave Chelsea, at least according to his agent.

The powerful Ivorian has been persistently linked with a summer switch away from Stamford Bridge, with AC Milan, Inter Milan and Barcelona mooted as strong contenders for his signature.

Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has spoken this week of the club's confidence in keeping Drogba in West London, and now his words have been echoed by the player's representative.

Agent Tierno Seydhi claims Drogba has no desire to leave Chelsea and that on the contrary, he is more than willing to see out the remaining two years of his existing deal.

With seemingly no bid having been lodged for the 30-year-old, it does now look as though Drogba will start the campaign in Chelsea blue.

"The truth is there is nothing to say about his departure," Seydhi told Sport Ivoire.

"He has a contract with Chelsea; he is not close to joining any other club."
