Tottenham midfielder Steed Malbranque is having a medical at Sunderland ahead of a move to the North East.
Former Spurs aces Teemu Tainio and Pascal Chimbonda have already left the capital for the North East, and Frenchman Malbranque is tipped to follow in their footsteps.
The 28-year-old, born in Belgium, has been deemed surplus to requirements by Juande Ramos despite performing with credit over the last couple of seasons.
Malbranque is yet to put pen-to-paper, but it would appear a move is on the horizon following his arrival for a medical.
The capture would see Roy Keane wrap up deals for three of the four Tottenham players he has targeted, with Younes Kaboul – who has also been approached by Aston Villa and Portsmouth - the final piece of the jigsaw.
