Plessis: "Play me Rafa"

Liverpool's young midfielder Damien Plessis is hopeful he will have the chance to display his talents next season, after making his debut in the top flight last term.
The 20-year-old impressed during his first start against Arsenal and in this summer’s friendlies, and is poised to appear on a more regular basis this season.
The promising Frenchman has hailed his boss Rafa Benitez and vowed to become a more important squad player for the Merseysiders.
The youngster left Lyon at a young age after failing to break into the first team, and is delighted to have made a choice that appears to be a good one.
“This year, I hope I will be given the chance to show myself a bit more,” Plessis told L’Equipe.
“Monsieur Benitez offered me my first Premier League experience last year with the game against Arsenal. I thank him for that.
“I understand he is a good coach who likes tactics. To be honest, I’d like to have more time of play, but you have to deserve it.
“I feel good at Liverpool. The coach is nice, well, I say he is a nice guy because he plays me for the moment (laughs).”
Plessis has confirmed the imminent departure of French goalkeeper Charles Itandje, as Diego Cavalieri has already replaced him as Jose Reina’s cover.
The shot-stopper has been linked to Turkish and French clubs over the summer.
“I’m just disappointed that Charles isn’t there. He must leave soon, that’s a shame,” he concluded.

i've seen you played. you are not that good. BUT i see the potential in you. if i am rafa, i will play you when it comes to weaker teams. maybe like hull, or stoke for next season. you should become one of the world best if things start to build up now. learn from stevie.
