Didier Drogba says he is ready to end the uncertainty over his future and sign a new contract at Chelsea.
The Ivorian’s position at Stamford Bridge has been in doubt since Jose Mourinho’s exit as he declared in the aftermath of his former manager’s departure in October that: “I want to leave Chelsea. Something is broken with the club."
Drogba had also stated that he was keen to join Milan, Inter, Barcelona or Real Madrid but it appears that a move abroad is no longer on the agenda for the former Marseille star.
Reports claim Chelsea are preparing a four-year deal worth £25 million for the striker and Drogba certainly appears optimistic about his chances of staying at Stamford Bridge.
“I am confident talks with Chelsea will lead to a positive resolve about my future,” Drogba told the Sunday Mirror.
In a separate interview, the striker added: "Chelsea want to speak and I am open to talk.
"Things have not changed but I am a Blues player. Money is not the main factor and if Chelsea show they want me it is possible to accept a proposition."
