Mohamed Sissoko has announced that he has extended his contract at Juventus by one year.

The former Liverpool midfielder was under contract with the Serie A outfit until 2012, but he has now agreed to an additional year.

And Sissoko has admitted his gratitude to his Juve team-mates for helping him settle after moving from Anfield in January.

"I'm happy with this renewal," Sissoko told Juve Channel. "I feel good at Juventus and thanks to my team-mates I've quickly settled in the environment."

Meanwhile, Juventus face Artmedia in the first leg of the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday and Sissoko has told his team-mates they must progress.

"Let's keep concentration for this match," added Sissoko. "We must qualify."
