DAVID BENTLEY and Darren Bent scored two apiece as Spurs hammered Roma at White Hart Lane.
The Tottenham faithful were treated to an impressive display with Bentley starring in his first home appearance.
Bentley opened the scoring with a free-kick and Bent continued his fine pre-season form by slotting home the second.
Dimitar Berbatov was handed a start by Juande Ramos but it was the Spaniard's £17million summer signing who stole the show.
Bentley drove home his second of the game on the stroke of half-time and Aaron Lennon struck five minutes after the restart.
Bent rounded off the scoring when he bundled home his second as Spurs dominated the second half.

spurs were very good in attack but poor in defense the last few seasons. if their defense improves they will have a serious chance of ursurping the top 4.

English clubs have improved alot over the past few season while Italian clubs fall to new low after the exposed of their corruption in Series A, also while EPL is a week away from the 1st kick of the season, Series is still a couple of weeks later hence their fitness which translate into sharpness are probably a tab lower then their English counterparts...
