Chelsea set for 'major announcement'

Chelsea have promised a major announcement at 5pm this afternoon.
The Blues have set tongues wagging after revealing on their official website that Chelsea TV would be 'breaking with its published schedule to disclose a world exclusive.'
Stamford Bridge supporters may hope the announcement is Frank Lampard committing his future to the club.
The failure of the England international to sign a new contract saw him strongly linked with a move to Inter to play for former manager Jose Mourinho.

Lampard sign also won't be a big news what cos he is already there and expected to be there at least for another season... so it won't be a WAH!!! kind of news to excite people...I think only the arrival of Kaka will be a big deal... Cos it will be totally out of the Blue... lol

Lampard extends Chelsea stay
Frank Lampard has put an end to the transfer speculation surrounding his future by signing a new contract with Chelsea. The England midfielder's existing deal was due to expire next summer and the Blues hierarchy were concerned that they may have lost one of their star players for nothing.
Lampard had been linked with a £20million move to Inter Milan to team up with former mentor and Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, as well as a switch to Barcelona with his Spanish fiance.
But Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon confirmed last month that the club had only ever received on derisory bid of £7.95 million from Inter that was rejected out of hand.
New Blues boss Luiz Felipe Scolari said in one of his first press conferences at Stamford Bridge in June that Lampard had said he wanted to stay, and that appears to be the case.So this is the big news...
