Selling Heinze was never a surprise... Because before Evra came along, he was the first choice but having lost his place to Evra and sitting on the bench for one whole season was too much for him to take when he knew he was still able to play 1st team.
Heinze, unlike Silvestre (who has been on the bench for the past 3 yrs) wasn't prepared to sit on the bench any longer having experienced one... And the thought of Evra being around and spending another season on the bench was too much for him...
The unfortunate thing for Heinze was he was much slower to Evra... And in the EPL, speed is very important... And Evra also brought a more attacking approach to their squad... Selling him was no surprise at all... Afterall, Silvestre and O'shea was still around then. Silvestre on the other hand has done a good job for United despite not playing much in the last 3 yrs and he hardly complain.
