Cesc Fabregas has credit cards rejected... twice

  Premiership star Cesc Fabregas found himself embarrassed when he couldn't pay for dinner because his credit cards were rejected - twice.

  The Arsenal midfielder, who earns around £80,000 a week, was dining with two women at top Soho private club Studio Valbonne when his bill of just under £300 arrived.

  An onlooker said: "He tried one card, it failed. Then another. It failed again. After much faffing he sent an aide out to get cash."

  The 21-year-old Spanish heartthrob had generously told his guests to order anything they liked - so imagine his horror when it came to settling the bill.

  We're told: "Cesc told the girls to order whatever they wanted. They even had two rounds of lobster soup and salmon galore. "He apologised profusely and paid when his aide turned up with the money."

  A Studio Valbonne spokeswoman said: "We were very happy to have Cesc eating in our restaurant. They seemed to have a great evening."
