Oh ya..and its Torres back at Atletico Madrid...damn gotta love these draws.![]()
I don't think Terry deserves best Defender award... There are way better defenders compared to him...
Ferdinand and Vidic were the best defence last season... All terry did was slip and cry and he did not help his club win anything!.... Puyol's chances for the award was destroyed by barca's form last season and Liverpool didn't win anything so Carragher would not have been in running..
Midfielders i would take Fabregas... he has been an enigma for Arsene Wenger's gunners last season and they would not have finished in the top 4 if not for his creativity and vision in providing Adebayor... Wenger please get a better finisher to score from Fabregas' assists!
For Strikers.. top scorer in Europe from a winger's position need 1 say more.... I think reason Messi and Ronaldo are considered forwards because although they are primarily wingers, they push further up then normal wingers and cut in from the flanks as well? I have no idea and this is hella confusing for me as well.
Best goalkeeper would be a toss up between VDS and Cech... They both deserve it so i can't really decide... VDS won Man U the Champs League with his penalty save while Cech has been his usual impressive self in goal for Chelsea the whole season.

Iirc, it is the last few alr, then cuz clubs cannot meet clubs of the same country(it is either Roma or the the "other" team to be drawn) so UEFA machine very fast, annouce even when the previous draw had just been drawn. Just like how the last team in each pot is auto put into. Sorry if late reply.
Real Madrid, Juventus and ZSP what else can it be? even the last club, the worst club of Pot 4 boh ji to play alr. Even if ZSP lose to Utd or Arsavin, they cnt be underestimated, as they are UEFA Cup Champs.
Liverpool one also tough, PSV(last time used to be good), Marseille(iirc got some good talent there), A Madrid(Torres home coming day)

hell yeah i would agree..
Chelsea wowed by bum draw

HOST TOWN ... Chelsea will travel to the Cheeky Girls' home town of Cluj in Romania
Chelsea will also meet Roma and Bordeaux in Group A. Blues secretary David Barnard said: “The Romanians are interesting. "I’m not aware of them at all but any team that reaches the Group stage deserves respect.”
Roma have been warned any violence in their Olympic Stadium — following the trouble against Manchester United — could cost Rome the 2009 Champions League final.
UEFA president Michel Platini said: “It’s not an ultimatum, we have just got our eye on them.”
the draw looks pretty even-ed out for now
the tricky one is after this round, hur hur hur
Group A and B will face off in the 2nd round right? as in winner vs runner up?

Eh if I'm not wrong. Which I am usually in soccer terms.
A 1st vs D 2nd
B 1st vs C 2nd
C 1st vs B 2nd
D 1st vs A 2nd
Or
A 1st vs B 2nd
B 1st vs C 2nd
C 1st vs D 2nd
D 1st vs A 2nd
Something like that, dunno in order, or mixed in between. But meh. Lol.
tough group

I not sure about after group stages though. Maybe it's how you said it. Prolly lots. Which is more fair I think.
Cause World Cup they use this system, 1st vs Runner up one.
I believed there is no standard match-up in the kind of an A 1st vs B 2nd fixture... They are all in country protected until after the second round... The 4 English sides could meet any of the other 7 teams if they are not from England... If any of the English side gets 2nd spot, that will reduce the pot to 6 teams from the other groups provided of course that English side top their own group...
The country protection will no longer be in place from the Quarter-finals onwards instead the winner of the 1st QFs will meet the winner from the 2nd QFs regardless if they are from the same country (Last yrs Liverpool v Arsenal)... Followed by 3rd vs 4th...
many clubs try to avoid english clubs...they fear them ![]()
liverpool's group will quite nice to watch. LIVERPOOL, PSV Eindhoven, Marseille, Atletico Madrid. all not bad de teams, Arsenal and Man Utd de group should not be a big problem for them to go through to the next round.
but with liverpool current playing style and plays, might not be that easy for them to get themselves comfortablely through to the next round. rmb last season, liverpool had problems wanting to get to the next round.

But reading from here the flow of the Pot 2 draw, Roma still had chance to draw with Arsenal or Lyon's group. ![]()
18:25 CET: Sporting are the first team out, and they're in Group C along with Barcelona! (Look above for all the latest.) Next, PSV against Liverpool. Then, Villarreal are with Manchester United for more 0-0 action. Juventus... they'll meet Real Madrid. That's an old-school European match for you! Chelsea-Roma, a tough one for the Italians. Arsenal will be happy enough with Porto. Then Bayern are thrown in with Lyon, and Werder Bremen face Inter by default. That's Pot 2 all done!
