AC Milan's defender Massimo Oddo will join Bayern Munich on a season-long loan providing he passes a medical test.
"His experience, his tactical and technical capabilities will help us greatly," new coach Juergen Klinsmann told the Associated Presson Thursday.
Oddo's arrival came on the same day Bayern sold left fullback Marcell Jansen to SV Hamburg.
He will provide much-needed defensive cover for the German champions with Willy Sagnol, the French international defender, out for several months after Achilles tendon surgery.
Bayern, who are still seeking their first Bundesliga win of the season, have the option to buy Oddo at the end of the season.
