Ajax have ruled out the possibility of selling star striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar on the final day of the transfer window.
The Holland international is one of the hottest properties in Europe and has been linked with likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham.
It has been suggested that one of the Premier League’s big hitters may attempt to push through a deal on Monday, but Ajax have insisted the striker will not leave this summer.
”There is no possibility of us selling such an important player on the final day of the transfer window,” Ajax technical director Danny Blind told De Telegraaf.
”We have agreed not to sell.”

Two teams were thwarted in last-minute bids for Ajax striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar, the Dutch side’s technical director Danny Blind has confirmed.
Ajax were resolved to retain the services of the Holland international but Blind admitted he was still shocked to learn of the two undisclosed offers, one of which was rumoured to have come from Real Madrid.
With Huntelaar's suitors increasingly desperate, the scale of the proposed offers caught Blind on the hop.
“We were surprised,” Blind told Elf Voetbal.
“The last-minute transfer of Huntelaar remained taboo for us. We decided that at an internal meeting last Thursday and the two clubs were told.
"I must say that they were just phone calls. You would have had to wait and see if the offers would have been the same on paper."
Real Madrid were thwarted in a bid for Valencia striker David Villa on Monday night and Calderon admitted his club faced brick walls whichever way they turned.
“The players Real Madrid wanted were not for sale,” Calderon told Marca.
