Everton have confirmed the signing of France international striker Louis Saha from Manchester United for an undisclosed fee.
The 30-year-old has signed a two-year deal with an option for a third year after passing a medical over the weekend.
The Toffees have also revealed a loan move for Inter Milan winger Victor Obinna has fallen through after an unsuccessful work permit application.
David Moyes had been frustrated in his attempts to add to his Toffees'
squad for a long period this summer. In the past week however, he has
seen the signings roll in, with Louis Saha, the latest acquisition,
finalising his move from Manchester United earlier today.
Now, Moyes has added a more austere player in the shape of Carlo Nash,
journeyman goalkeeper of nine clubs, who will provide competition for
Tim Howard.
The 34-year-old Nash has most recently been plying his trade at the JJB
Stadium with Wigan Athletic, where he was third choice behind Chris
Kirkland and Mike Pollitt.
It is believed that Nash has been added as a free-transfer by the Goodison Park side.
moyes is crazy to sign an injury prone 30 yr old player.
