England coach Fabio Capello revealed he vented his fury at Joe Cole and Wayne Rooney for not following his orders during the 2-0 win away to Andorra.
Cole spared the Italian's blushes when he came off the bench to earn England a narrow win in the World Cup qualifier.
Capello said: "I was not happy with Joe and Wayne Rooney.
"I was asking them to go forward again because Emile Heskey was all on his own. I tried to transmit something to them but I was too far from the pitch."
Cole's goals did not save him from the wrath of Capello and the pair exchanged strong words as England struggled to break down the European minnows in the second half.
Capello said he had asked both Rooney and Cole to support Heskey up front, but felt that once they had gone 2-0 the pair were dropping too deep into midfield.
However, after the game Capello admitted he was happy overall with the impact of winger Cole.
It was the second time that Cole had bailed out Capello after snatching a last-gasp equaliser in the friendly international with the Czech Republic at Wembley last month.
"I have got to think about Joe," said Capello. "He is very good for himself at the moment and very good for us.
"Cole at this moment is scoring goals for fun."

TERRY : Time for revenge

Skipper Terry led England to a laboured victory over minnows Andorra in Barcelona. But the Chelsea star insists the Three Lions will turn it on in Zagreb to make up for two defeats against Croatia that cost England their place at Euro 2008.
He said: "Yes, it's a bit of revenge. “We’ve got the disappointments of losing there and losing to them at Wembley and that’s in the back of our minds. "It’s a massive game but we go in there on the back of a win, full of confidence, and ready to kickstart our campaign. “We’re looking forward to going there, putting on a good show and picking up another three points.”
no misses robinson this time hahaha

Will England beat Croatia?
The Three Lions face the toughest test of their World Cup qualifying campaign when they take on Slaven Bilic's side on Wednesday night. The trip to Zagreb will bring back nightmares of the humiliating 2-0 defeat in October 2006.
That result, which included Paul Robinson's famous howler, signalled the beginning of the end for old boss Steve McClaren. The eastern Europeans also ended our dreams of reaching Euro 2008 when they won 3-2 at Wembley in November last year.
So, can Fabio Capello and his side stop the rot? We want to know your thoughts.
i still believe croatia will win the match.

No great expectations: Bilic sizes up England's chances at a press conference
Slaven Bilic is sitting in the foyer of the Hotel Terme in Slovenia, puffing on an endless supply of cigarettes and very publicly plotting England's downfall. 'Steve McClaren will play 3-5-2 and that will play into our hands,' he predicted with outrageous confidence.
That was at Croatia's training camp in October 2006, when England imploded at the Maksimir Stadium and were showered with abuse by their supporters as they made their escape to the team bus.
Nearly two years on, in the same setting, the Croatia coach is playing a very familiar tune as he prepares for a World Cup qualifier against Same Old England.
Nothing has changed, not in the eyes of Bilic. They still have world-class players and yet the manager, this time Fabio Capello, has not yet worked out a way of getting the best out of them.
'Capello played 3-5-2 with Roma, but I don't think England will play 3-5-2 this time,' he said with a laugh. There is not a chance of that, not after that infamous picture of Borat grinning inanely from the advertising hoardings as Paul Robinson's air kick condemned England to defeat.
'I read that John Terry thinks England are going to beat us 3-0 so it shows they always have confidence before games, but I don't know what goes on in their heads,' said Bilic. 'I'm not with the England group and I don't know the situation in their camp. Capello knows the situation and he will help England.
'The players are big enough, they can definitely lift themselves, individually or as a team, without the manager having to do it. I can't say England's confidence is low, but this is the first time they have recognised they have problems. Before that, every game was about the Three Lions.'

Having kittens: England are mocked in the Croatian media
Now the Three Lions are licking their wounds and depicted on the back of a Croatian newspaper on Tuesday as two kittens and one lion.
England, it appears, are a laughing stock. It was no laughing matter when England were knocked out of Euro 2008, beaten 3-2 at Wembley by Croatia in November last year, but Bilic expects his side to advance to the World Cup Finals without a hitch.
They are unbeaten in 35 competitive matches at the Maksimir, home to Dinamo Zagreb and home to the national team. 'It's easy to explain our record there because the stadium is so nice,' he said in jest. 'It's one of the prettiest in the world. You will be overwhelmed by the beauty of the place.'
In fact, it is an ugly concrete mass on the outskirts of town, built in 1912 and has hardly seen a lick of paint since. Still, it works for Croatia and against the opposition.
'Look,' said Bilic. 'You (England) beat Israel 3-0, Russia 3-0 (in the Euro 2008 qualifiers) and in some parts of the game against us at Wembley you played great. 'I don't know what Capello will do. It's hard for him to change a lot of the players and they have got used to the system because they all play it with their clubs.'
Bilic claims that Croatia have improved beyond recognition under his leadership, training together '150 or more times' since they beat England in 2006.
Confident? Yes. Complacent? No.
'We won't run from the pressure,' he said. 'If we want to be the fifth best team in the world, to compete with the best and qualify for the World Cup, then you have to cope with pressure.
'We are a better team now in every possible way and we are favourites to beat England, but this game reminds me of the 1994 European Cup Final when Barcelona played Capello's Milan.
'Barcelona had Jordi Cruyff, Romario and Stoichkov and everyone was saying they were going to kill Milan, blah, blah, blah. It finished 4-0 to Milan. 'Maybe the guys from Barcelona were approaching that game as a jolly-up, I don't know, but me, my staff and my players are nowhere near that approach. We are full of respect for England but we are very confident. Of course we are.'

Aw.... Sounds like sour grapes to me. Still sore about the EPL and Champions league? It was good Joe Cole scored yesterday. Good thing Rooney didn't have to dive to win a penalty that Terry would slip and miss.
Chelski, you're not even the richest and not even champions. You're gonna be the next Tottenham. Man City's feeder club. That's why Robinho chose City over you =D
