The agent of Roberto Mancini admits his client would welcome the opportunity to work in the Premier League.

The Italian has been out of work since parting company with Inter Milan over the summer and has been consistently linked with a host of vacant positions.

The latest round of speculation suggests Mancini could be on the shortlist of candidates to replace Alan Curbishley at West Ham.

The Hammers are in the market for a new coach after Curbishley handed in his resignation earlier this week.

With Gianluca Nani currently employed as sporting director at Upton Park, the appointment of an Italian manager appears to be a distinct possibility.

Mancini is yet to resolve the financial issues following his split from Inter, but his representative has hinted that the former Italy international striker would relish the challenge of working in England.

"Roberto doesn't want to talk to any other club until he has sorted out his contract situation with Inter because that's the way he works," Giorgio De Giorgis told Radio Kiss Kiss.

"But Mancini really likes England and London in particular - that is something that he has never denied."
