Brazilian striker Ronaldo has confirmed that Flamengo and Manchester City are two options open to him as he plots his return to football.
The former Inter attacker is still getting back to fitness after a serious knee injury cut short his stint with city rivals Milan, with most of the recuperation taking place in his homeland.
After being approached by South American journalists, the all-time top scorer in World Cup finals was relaxed about his future.
"Flamengo and Manchester City are two options," he said. "But nothing more than that.
"There is nothing concrete.
"The most important thing is that there is interest from big teams.
"It's clear that I have nostalgia for the national team but I am continuing with the utmost calm.
"I want to first return to the right spot physically and then come back to play and then think about Brazil."
City are building a Brazilian contingent at The City of Manchester Stadium with Jo and Robinho an exciting new-look attacking partnership.

Manchester City have ruled out the possible signing of Ronaldo, despite the former Fifa World Player of the Year claiming he was looking forward to the prospect of joining Robinho at Eastlands.
City confirmed discussing a transfer with Ronaldo’s representatives but have chosen now not to pursue the matter of the Brazilian’s signing.
The 31-year-old is still returning to full fitness having been laid low since February with ruptured cruciate ligaments – an injury that cut short a spell at Milan.
Ronaldo is a free agent and is eligible for a move outside of the transfer window but hopes of a switch to The City of Manchester Stadium have been scuppered.
"We had shown a past interest in bringing the player to the football club in the right circumstances and spoke to him and his representatives," admitted a club spokesperson.
"However, we have chosen not to pursue the matter."
of course lor.. with the kinda money ManC had now, who needs him? they tried signing him at that point of time was because they are having difficulities signing big name players they're interested in hence no choice turn to a "fallen" super star, but now with the new owners, they can now go for the biggest star money can get them..
Agreed =] Ronaldo is far far far too unfit at the moment. He's nothing like the Ronaldo of the old.
personally, i think he's over the hill already man. he's totally unfit, and its very difficult to get back to match fitness at that age man
