Italy striker Alessandro Del Piero has hinted he might move to an English Premier League club when his contract with Juventus expires in 2010.
"An experience in a foreign championship is tempting. Even if it goes badly, it enriches you from a human and professional point of view," the 33-year-old told Sport Week magazine.
"In England...one lives better than in Italy, even in football. They have a more beautiful championship and, unlike us, they have managed to resolve their problems with the fans."

man city =)
he wanna come but who needs him? looking for big pension also come slightly earlier mah... 35 yrs old by then and no Zola he should probably just stay in Itay and keep his status as one of the best forward in Itay Series A then come England and fail badly
come back as manager or player???
which club wants u? ![]()
if free transfer, is a very good transfer. del piero has bags of experience and can be a set piece taker. but definitely not the big 4 or manshitster city, probably like what kopiosatu said, that kind of teams. he's definitely a player who can create something out of nothing.
But wouldn't he be too old for the fast and furious pace of the premier league by then? =/ It would be hard to him to leave Juventus too in my opinion as he is simply a legend in the eyes of many Juventus fans =]
hahahahha Del Piero cumming...
I thought Italian prefer spanish???
Maybe he will go to this clubs
Tottenham
Blackburn
Bolton
Sunderland( if relegated no choice)
Portsmouth
Wigan
West Ham
Fulham
Man City
Or maybe Man Utd?( Gods know if Sir Alex wan buy him?)
ask him go to MLS join beckham or uzbeskistan to join rivaldo better.
what for waste time at epl.he can earn more there.
he's still quality sia. who saw his free kick in the UCL.

he is indeed quality, even thou i kinda hate him to the core as he was the one who replaced my idol, Roberto Baggio.. but unless he is as determined, as fit, as much football brain as Zola, else he wouldn't be able to make it in EPL at 35 years of age.. lesser team maybe but being such a big name why spoilt it? it was said within the media that ManU was interested in him during his "hey" days but he rejected the idea of coming to EPL.. maybe he at last realised the shift in status of world football? or maybe he knows Juventus wouldn't be renewing his contract??
since when it's the other way round??? old player come EPL?? he must be joking right?

Del piero? hmmm.. over rated........he is good.. but not as good as larsson
too late, too old.
Larsson is a different kinda player as compare to Del Piero, Larsson is more of a out and out striker whereas Del Piero is support striker just like R. Baggio.. Larsson make it is a big surprise for 35years old too.. even the legendary Ian Rush struggle at that age..
during the 80-90s, Italian & Englishmen seldom make it outside their country, or maybe they're too proud or can't care less to venture outside their league, it was until B Robson and Gullit who convinced a couple of "still in their peak" players to come over to England..
