Both Fernando Torres and Robbie Keane went into the game at Goodison Park under heavy pressure and criticism for their lack of goals in recent outings.
But the Spanish international ended his six-game drought by netting both goals while Keane had a part to play in his strike partner’s brace.
“It was a good performance by the team and Fernando played really well,” Benitez told the club’s official website.
“Clearly, we have players who can change games like Fernando with his goals and this gives the team confidence.
“It makes it easier for us to play well and keep the ball and Torres is always a threat for defenders,” Rafa added.
“Robbie was also doing a good job for the team and he played a part in both our goals.”
im a liverpool fan, but i don think that game against evertion was that impressive. of course, we did well, and we won. true, but still, that kind of entertainment soccer aint there. our style of play is still kinda dull. winger is still the problem for us, i think.
3 points. i happy liao.
cannot be hiam.
All LFC fans should be happy just to get 3 points at Everton!
In fact, if we don't play well, and get maximum points what more can we ask for!?
Entertainment or league/cup success? What do you want?
YNWA
-.-
if liverpool can produce entertainment style of football, eventually they will league/cup. look at our wingers -.- really. beside for babel, others all cmi. yossi is ok at times, but his performances have to tally with his mood. when he's not happy, he just don play well. kuyt, totally speechless, he's a shit to me, just like zenden.
of course i am happy that we eventually beat everton. e 3 points we took, surely was well-deserve. but somehow, i just feel that if were to meet a team stronger than everton, things wont be that easy.
Nigel Spackman puts it across best. He says that Liverpool is not playing very well now but are winning games and that is a good habit to have unlike last season. And he went on to say that imagine what Liverpool can be when they start playing well like the game against Man U where Liverpool stepped up and won the game.
Pool rite nw nids really gd wingers..
seriously

the game against man utd, is because of they being off-form then we can control e game. if not -.- like last season 3-0?

Ermm...then like that no need to say liao lor... they play well and win is because other team off form. They play badly and win also kena shoot haha
Rafa said that to ease the pressure off Keane, in reality, what has he delivered as a Striker for 20M pounds??? striker.. not winger or AMC or FC...

ya... its still going to league cup success at best this season yet again....
keane is still a misfit in my opinion. i rather kuyt or babbel move into the striker position. the other can take the winger role.
hi, new here, just signed up.. this is my virgin post since im a lfc fan.
when talking about keane, i think its rafa's strategy that makes it difficult for strikers to score.. many famous forwards failed at liverpool, like morientes and cisse.. (i dun mention baros coz he's really a crap.) even pongolle is doing well in spain now but at lfc he could rarely play. and kuyt used to be a double 20+ in holand but now..
look at rafa's history as a manager, u'll find only fernando torres has succeeded as a super scorer. so maybe its not keane's problem..
rafa's football has never been good-looking.
lolx torres owns
everton was terrible.
but of course we have to give credit to torres. he is an amazing player.
