Kevin Keegan is ready to return to Newcastle United, according to The Sun.
A month after his resignation, Keegan is apparently poised to move
back to St James' just as soon as Mike Ashley has sold the club. Ashley
is believed to have found seven prospective buyers interested in
acquiring the club for around £280m.
'If Ashley accepts, King Kev could return this month,' the
newspaper reports. 'The Newcastle idol flew back from a break in the
USA to tell pals he is ready to take up the reins once new owners are
found.'
'A source close to Keegan' is quoted as saying: "Kevin has had a great break, is feeling refreshed and wants to return.
"He knows what it would mean for all the fans and he wants a fresh crack at the club he loves.
"Of course, new owners have to come in but he has been pleased to
see his name mentioned by prospective buyers. He is now just waiting to
see what happens with things."
forget it, whats the point in coming back then run away again when things hot up???

the problem is.. he is not happy with the way its function..
its the same stiuation when roman bring Avarm Grant in
ya... and i'll bet he wasn't happy during his 1st spell at Newcastle, also again at England, at ManC & Newcastle yet again...
i dont understand why newcastle fans are so adamant about keegan's appointment.
he led them to 2 runners-up but that was donkey years ago.
the fans cant run the club without funds from the owner. now, which owner in the right mind would want to own a club but be at the mercy of the fans club.
newcaste are doomed!!!!
i may not think its the best interest of the club to have Keegan back in the club but i can understand why the fans wanted him back, Keegan is enjoying almost god like status with the fans, might be because he is the one who brought so much success for Newcastle, might not have won them anything but does managed to give them something to crow about during those couple of years..
