Downward spiral: Arsenal's William Gallas (top) admits he is struggling for form for the Gunners
William Gallas has warned Arsenal he is going through a career crisis. The Gunners captain admitted he has been plagued by inconsistency and fatigue. And former Chelsea defender Gallas said he is at his lowest ebb since he first came to England eight years ago.
The France international has recently come under fire after disappointing displays for both club and country. And the 31-year-old said: 'I am going through the most difficult spell of my career since I joined Chelsea in 2000.
'Above all I am lacking consistency. One day I'll have a good game, and the next time I'll play less well. 'It would be avoiding the issue for me to say that I am as strong as ever.
'It would mean failing to recognise that I put in bad performances from time to time, as I have done for Arsenal recently. He continued in L'Equipe: 'An example was when we lost 2-1 at home to Hull. Maybe I am feeling a bit of tiredness. 'But if I was bothered by all this, I would have quit by now. It's to the contrary, and talking about it helps me.
'I discuss it with my friends and family. They criticise me, and when I'm not playing well I accept what they say. 'I'm doing all I can to regain my consistency. It is important for the team, and from a personal viewpoint I can't accept being second best.'

What so surprise? He is French mah... When was the last time Arsenal didn't have a French captain?
But give him some credit for admitting it and trying to help himself out of this and not just keep quiet...
just focus on the ball
