Liverpool is more interested in the bpl title since they have already won the CL in recent year. I dont think Ah ben will rest a lot of key players.
In fact, i think opposite, man u and chelsea will want the champ league more (one is interested in retaining the cup, the other interested in winning the CL for the first time) and they will tend to concentrate on the champ league more. Who will lose more points?
winning both chelsea and man utd is a good start, but it's all too early to say.
if liverpool want to win the title they must sign good players in jan.
I am still confident that liverpool can do it this season.

sorry, I think this is rather flawed. Every major teams will want to win the CL, not only it brings prestige but also much needed $$$, most teams want to dominate the local league first.
Chelsea, MU and Arsenal have given the EPL top priority. Not so for Liverpool. Cause come Dec, in the past, they were out of title races & start to rotate their players to keep them fresh for UCL and to qualify for next seasons' UCL.
This season, they are doing wonderful, but I think they are missing Torres much as Chelsea missing JCole, Essien & Drogba, United missing Ronaldo & OwenH and Gunners missing Helb & Flamini, all key players in their own rights. As per my earlier posts, Liverpool is the most stable of the big 4 coming into this season so theorically they should win the EPL.
As per all, I think Chelsea is still the biggest odd-ons to win this season if they can get the main players back, United is starting to show form.Gunners is having a see-saw seasons but yet to play the big boys.
But next season, I would put City up there with their finanical muscle.
Still too early to say anything... after all they got maximum points from their first round of matches with 2 of the so called "top 4" and manchester city... It's safe to say that most of their toughest fixtures are over for at least the first half of the season and for now they are at a pretty comfortable spot in the standings trailing just chelsea just by goal differences
bump. Liverpool got knocked out of carling cup but that's good news for me ![]()
Benitiez is starting to tinker less nowadays and that may be the key to winning the title. However, they need to finish off their chances and trash more teams to match Chelsea's superior goal difference.
the signs are good....but still a long way to go! :)
like i said earlier, pool needs to win home & away against Chelsea, MU & Arsenal to secure BPL....
Liverpool best chance of winning is this season is now or never with MAN U down and out and Arsenal poor form only left Chelsea in their way.

Yr back
Difficult to predict any of these. Maybe will take just one match to decide the champion, and one match outcome can depend on one goal which can depend on one player on form/make mistake.
Maybe even Man Utd might sneak up on the two leaders.
That will make for a close fight but since i dont really support any team, maybe chelsea abit, I dont care. I have only watched 2 games this season which my friends ask me watch: the Big games - Chelsea v Pool and MU v Arse
Shall I clap?

What's there to clap? Season is not over yet. And obviously manutd is the biggest winner last night since they draw at away against the 4th place team while chelsea and liverpool fail to win at home against weaker sides.
Arsenal has almunia as captain. Come on, did you see him lead a team? Wenger is making a terrible mistake if he thinks gallas is the only problem in the squad.

It doesnt really matter whether they beat west ham today or not. Of course it would be pretty good if they win but I am only interested in their league position at the end of season.
its way too early to talk about the end of the season.
